Its off to Georgia again

September 6-14 We are off for a month to the East Coast, starting with a week+ with our son Aaron along with his fiance Michelle and her boys Evan and Preston.
It started with a little driving around............. we literally ran over a rattlesnake in the country. It was about 4 1/2- 5 feet long, but really thick. Here is Aaron and the rattler prior to skinning it.

We enjoyed quite a few great meals.....

And Preston was either skateboarding or on the computer.

Aaron and Michelle have accomplished so much in their short time in Georgia. Here is their house w/ pool.

They have a lot to be proud of.

Daisen student exchange

August 6- 12 The Nakayama Jr. High School exchange. Carol and I rushed back from Minnesota for the arrival of the Japanese exchange contingent. Here are Kozo and Carol doing their version of Iron Chef international. We really had some great Japanese and American traditional foods.
One of the annual exchange events is Halloween in August. They don't celebrate Halloween in Japan, so its a great cultural exchange.

I think Jake got the prize for ?????????

Here is Carol and myself along with Kozo, the Nakayama Jr. High School principal and sumo Denise.

Everyone had a great time at Angel's stadium after a day at Knott's.

We had Dan and Kim in for dinner as judges during the Iron Chef affair.

Here are Carol and I with the girls during the farewell party at the Meadowview club house. Once again, it was a great exchange. Thanks, Denise.....

Currie, MN, the motherland.....

July 27- August 5 Well, here are a bunch of Boudreaus , et al, following the weekend Murray County 150th year celebration. This occasion was followed by a week Boudreau Reunion on Lake Shetek .

Here is Christy ready to take all the "city folk" on a big house carriage ride around the property.

We got to see tons of old farm equipment. Here Roger and Alex are listening to the finer points of tractor mechanics as described by Richard.

Our group stayed in a beautiful house on the lake. The Boudreaus were Carol, Gary, Roger and Don. Here we are making up lyrics for the talent show.

Back at the camp ground, Kristen was a big sister to her cousin.

Ami and Art rented a canoe for the day and turned into the aquatics staff for all the kids.

We took the Lake Shetec boat excursion again, followed by dinner at Key Largo. It really was a great time and it was wonderful to refresh with even more Boudreaus.

Its RAP again...

Thursday, July 19 Today our old RAP group of Arnold and Lillian, and Larry and Sarah came out to Temecula to visit- as arranged a few weeks ago when we visited Temecula.
We first had lunch at Faulkner Winery with a beautiful view over their vineyard. After driving around the wine couontry and old downtown a little, we all came back to our house for dinner and an evening of "memories". It was really great to see everyone again, we had spent so many evenings "rapping" for so many years.

The next morning everyone was up and away to continue with their present lives.

It was really fun.........
