Art's graduation

May 27, 2006
Ami and Art deciding how to get the rest of the graduation cake home.

Art graduated from law school at Univ. of San Diego and we had a graduation dinner for him at our house. Ami and Art, Art's parents, Art and Sharon, as well as his sister Wendy and her fiancee Lionel were there. It was a good day.

So Cal........

May 5, 2006
After only a week home, we were off to Dana Point for a timeshare exchange.
Ami and Art came up for a Mother's Day dinner, we found a really good Mexican restaurant.
We stayed in the resort you can see on the coast. The paddleboarder catching the wave always stays standing for both paddleing (with a paddle) and for riding the waves in. Interesting.
But, June gloom..........

pay back

April 30, 2006
After a great stay with cousin David and Maxine Pommier outside Dallas, TX, we proceeded on to Patty and Doug Robinson's in Riodoso, NM.
Now it was time for a little pay back- we had a fuel filter problem, just 11 miles from their home/ranch, so we had to stay a few extra days. Partial pay back from when they were homeless and on the run/road!!??
We had a wonderful visit as usual. They are truly dear friends.
Did anyone see Roy Rogers??!!

a second stop

April 25, 2006
We stopped at Roosevelt State Park in Mississippi for a second time on the way home. I wish I had my kayak with us.......

some more rednecks??

Aaron has a good job driving truck for a large sand and gravel company and Michelle was just promoted to supervisor of the shipping department at her supply company. They both enjoy the slower paced southern living. Aaron and Michelle have accomplished a lot in the short time they have been in Thomaston.
It was a wonderful visit for us.

the cat's meow..........

Hunter is usually either getting mugged by Lucy or off hunting birds and bugs........

working off energy??

Lucy is one laid back southern hound!!??

A little down time

We had plenty of time to catchup with Aaron and Carol brought her piano lessions on the road.

Easter egg hunt

April 17, 2006
Aaron and Michelle had an Easter egg hunt- Preston even found eggs on AJ's truck.
Easter dinner was a real family affair with AJ, Michelle, Preston, Carol, Ray and myself.

I have plenty of pics of southern BBQs now.......

April 16, 2006
On the way back to Thomaston, we wanted to stop in the beautiful college town of Barnsville, GA. The old homes were wonderful and as in so many other southern towns, the center square was quaint. We ran into the Barnsville BBQ and saw and tasted some great "Q".

Those fishin Philly Fosters

It was pier fishing for us as the sisters took off for some shopping and flowers........

Outer Banks

The walks on the beach were magic.......

Week 8- Love the Outer Banks

April 13, 2006
Next we left the 5th wheel at AJ and Michelle's and traveled to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for a stay with the Fosters'- both the Hershey Fosters and the Philly Fosters. Judy and Paul arrived from Hilton Head and Kay flew in for (what seems to be) Connie and Fred's annual event.

Forever Technology.......

April 5, 2006
Carol and I drove to Newnan, GA to visit our friends Pam and Scott Brown. Pam and I went to the UK in 1997 to study Technology at the University of Wolverhampten. We had a great lunch and caught up on family and technology happenings.

Stone Mountain

April 4, 2006
With Aaron and Michelle off to work(!!!), Judy, Paul, Carol and I took Preston to Stone Mountain. Its pretty much a ripoff place, but we still had a great time.

April 2, 2006
Once back in Thomaston, we all went for an afternoon picnic at Sprewell Park on the Flint River. It was really beautiful and fun.

March 30, 2006
On the way back to Thomaston, GA, we stopped in Plains, GA to see Jimmy Carters hometown along with Habitat ForHumanity in Americas.
