the day before our jump across the pond

Aug. 26, 2006 Today we crossed the street and watched the Lancaster Air Show from the Gardners' back yard. On the tarmac was the Dragon and His Tail, a B-24 bomber which was the type that Carol's Dad flew in WWII.
Next we went to a BBQ at the Fosters' in Harrisburg and toasted our upcoming Euro trip.

17 human years old

Aug. 8, 2006 Today was a tough day for us, we had to put Murphy down. Her quality of life just got worse. She had a great time with us for 17 years- going all the way back to Torrance.

Nakayama Jr. Hi. visitors

August 7, 2007 Today we met our Japanese sister city guests. The teacher was Koji, who is staying with us along with 4 students and the tour guide Kozo. More to come.......

too hot to handle

July 27, 2006 Today we did some winery hopping with our good Massachusetts friends Brad and Gail. They were vacationing at their condo in Palm Desert and needed to run from the heat. They had an average high of 118 degrees during their west coast visit!!! (sorry still no pics, my HD died)

long time no see

July 25, 2006 After many years and a couple of attempts, we finally got together with Joanne and Ken Chupp. We had a great lunch with them at the Marriott over looking Dana Point and promised to do it again soon. Carol and Joanne were high school friends and traveled to Holland after their senior year in high school- just a few years ago.
My HD crashed, so hopefully pics later.
