next stop Long Beach, WA

We met up with Danny and Marilyn (but that's Carol) at a 1000 Trails in Long Beach, WA- right on the coast. We had a great time, including a fishing fiasco, great meals and clam chowder, but it was overcast and dreary the whole time. Still, it was really fun..............and a lot of pinochle!!

 

Now I've been swearing off buying any more lumber for my lathe work and been doing a good job of it.............but I met this guy who had wonderful quilted maple. I bought a few hundred dollars worth of plate and platter stock, much thicker pieces for hollow forms, some pieces of burl and two matchbook pieces for a new dining room table.............if it's big enough. Really a great deal, wonderful quilting and I'm excited!!!
