next stop Portland

Our first real stop was in Vancouver, WA (next to Portland, OR) to visit our good friends Harold & Maureen. They are freshly in from a decade on Hawaii..............."island fever", I guess.

 

 

They took us out on the Columbia River for some great views. Here we're at the Columbia River Overlook- dud!!



 

 

 

Next we were off to some wonderful waterfall views.........

 

Here we are at a sturgeon fish hatchery

 

look closely, that's a ten (10) foot sturgeon!!!



and plenty of salmon.....................

 

 

 

                                     But the highlight was just visiting with them.............
