north to Waikoloa
This morning we took a walk about Harold and Maureen's neighborhood. Its the same but different, very interesting.......
On the way north, we stopped at Aloha Lumber- a really good lumber yard that specializes in Koa and tropical woods. Many pieces are small and reasonable, while the large curly grained pieces are really costly. I'll go back another day, without Carol and spend a few hours there. I hope to bring back about 100 lbs. of koa and tropical wood- two extra pieces of luggage @ 50 lbs. each.
Next we were off north to Waikoloa where there is a new Marriott that we wanted to see plus many shops. It has a lot of convention facilities and is a destination in itself. We'll have to try it in the future.
On the way back, we tried to stop at Kekaha Kai State Park, but we were turned back by a rough road- and it isn't even my car!!! Now, that's rough.........
On the way back, we passed Obama supporters "sign waving" on the side of the road. This is a local state activity that happens during all elections. So..................
