back to Sam Maloof's

Philip and Matt Mouthrop were doing a wood turning exhibit at the Maloof Foundation. It was a kickoff for their show at the del Mano Gallery in LA.

They had some beautiful vessels on display.

Our neighbors, Duane and Joan (they went to China with us) bought a piece from Matt.

Here they are standing in from of the piece they bought.

Its a beautiful ash leaf maple (box elder) vessel- not bad for 2K+!!!

Philip (left), Sam (right) and Matt are having a discussion with Kevin Wallace, the author of their book, Moulthrop: A Legacy in Wood.

Sam is sitting in front of a walnut table he sold for 100K, then there was 30k each for 10 chairs- not bad!! and it was for a residence- trickle down??

Sam's explaining some of his collection........
Here Matt and Sam are negotiating for a huge piece of ziracote.
