Waiohai- Feb. 18- Day 2

It was a day of rest, with a trip for groceries.

Carol and I went to a great concert tonight here on Kauai at the Kauai Community College.
It included:
Ledward Kaapana- Grammy winner this year. We actually saw him on Maui with Judy and Paul 3 years ago in a Masters of Slack Key series at the Ritz Carlton- a compilation from that series won a Grammy last year. His falsetto and slack key are incredible!!
Mike Kaawa- a strong singer who plays wonderful 12 string.
Brother Noland- what a performer, he can't stay inside himself......
and Brittni Paiva- a teenage uke player, who is giving Jake Shimabukuro a run for his money. We saw Jake at the Belly Up in Solana Beach a few weeks ago with Ami and Art.
The first half was a concert, the second half was a Hawaiian jam. Everyone would have really loved it!!
