Day 3- Visit Ise Jingu Sanctuary
A light drizzle accompanied us as we toured the Ise Jingu Sanctuary, a Shinto shrine where Japanese pilgrims were visiting and praying. We walked through beautiful, wooded pathways and purified our hands at a bamboo well.
Our afternoon was spent roaming through a festive, outdoor market called Okage Yokocho. We all ordered our lunches from small cafes or street vendors and visited the many, unusual shops in the area.
We were entertained by these drummers......
Historic story telling...........
