Kayaks and crabs
July 10, Thursday
Today we had our "famous" upside down pancake for breakfast- this is one we took to the B&B and its still used today.
Later we dusted off the kayaks and took off for a paddle around Sand Cove, where Stan and Joanne's home is located. It was later in the afternoon, so we caught some nice swells on the way back but no white caps.
Dave, Stan's bother, was supposed to relaunch his boat "Juniper" this afternoon, but an electrical problem and a "Mainey-type" boat transporter postponed it for a day- we'll see tomorrow.
For dinner we had a wonderful seafood dinner by Stan and Joanne. Stan made salmon grilled on a local cedar plank- it had a great smokey flavor. Joanne made crab cakes from a very local vendor who specializes in local crabs. They were to die for!! That's a receipe we really want.
Here Brandt is telling us about his landscape design business- very interesting.
Emily made the salad and as expected- it was again great.
