hiking to Laurel Falls

Christmas Day we took a great hike to Laurel Falls in Smokey Mountain NP.....

I had to read more about this destination. Do you know why it's called Laurel Falls?

Laurel Branch and the 80-foot high Laurel Falls are named for mountain laurel, an evergreen shrub which blooms along the trail and near the falls in May.

I would love to see them in bloom. If it's this beautiful now... wow. Gorgeous photos.
