up the mountain (behind the ponte/ aquaduct)
prior to our country lunch we visited Spoleto's San Salvatori- it has an application in for a world heritage site
followed by a trip to the top of the mountain, where Saint Francis established his monastery.....Monteluco
it was a national holiday, so many families were having picnics on the grounds.........
next was lunch at a agri-tourist country inn called Villa Marianna- it was great
in the evening we went out to enjoy the start of the Spoleto Wine Festival........

To be in the place that St. Francis actually had a hand in creating is pretty special for me. I'm so glad we were able to share it with all of you.
The apartment building is just not the same without the gang here... we have no where to go and all day to get there! Missing you all.
