Roman Aquaduct

Oct. 3, 2006 We traveled to the ancient city of Uves today. There was everything from churches to Roman baths. Truly an incredible experience. After lunch at a local outdoor restaurant under the cover of low Roman arches, which protected us from the rain, we proceeded on to Pont Du Gard. Here we saw what is probably the best preserved Roman aquaduct. It is really hard to imagine how they did the engineering and work needed to complete this task in the early part of the first century. And it was only a small part of taking water from Ales to Nimes!
Please google it- Pont Du Gard.
